Huvafen Fushi

The resort occupies a small island with pristine white-sand beaches and a sparkling blue lagoon. Accommodation consists of villas built either along the beach or on stilts over the lagoon. These come in a variety of different sizes and styles, but all feature freshwater plunge pools and private sundecks with daybeds. All are equipped with the latest modern amenities, including Bose sound systems with iPod docking stations. Facilities at Huvafen Fushi include a large infinity-edge swimming pool, a watersports centre, a PADI-certified dive centre, a yoga pavilion and a gym. Other activities include guided snorkelling on the reef with the resident marine biologist, dolphin-watching or island-hopping trips, and sunset fishing on a traditional dhoni (wooden Maldivian sailboat). When it comes to dining, there are several different venues and types of cuisine to choose from, including a seafood restaurant, healthy spa cuisine and a wood-fired pizzeria beneath the palm trees. Staff can also set up a private table for two beneath the stars on a rock island, in the underground wine cellar or in the intimacy of your bungalow. Last but not least, a bar at the water’s edge serves everything from tropical juices to cocktails.
