Lyngen Lodge
Lyngen Lodge is located in the heart of the stunning Lyngen Alps, in Norway’s far north.
This remote and beautiful destination, where mountains meet sea, is undoubtedly one of the world’s most dramatic coastal landscapes and is reached via a two-and-a-half hour scenic drive from Tromsø. The purpose-built lodge has just eight rooms, each of which has an en-suite bathroom, and the lodge facilities include a cosy living room with open fire places and panorama windows, a library, sauna and outdoor hot-tub.
In winter, the main activity is ski touring. The lodge has a specially designed 35ft state-of-the-art boat that transports guests to the nearby mountains and islands, and with the help of the resident professional mountain guides, provides access to some of the world's most sensational ski terrain. Lyngen Lodge is also ideally situated for viewing the Northern Lights on clear nights. In the summer months, the landscape is transformed and the lodge provides an ideal base for a variety of activities including fjord safaris, salmon and halibut fishing, canoeing, trekking and glacier tours.
