Castello del Nero features many modern hotel facilities while preserving the feel of a grand past thanks to the many frescoes, family crests and vaulted ceilings that adorn the 50 rooms and suites, all of which have wonderful views of olive groves and vineyards where deer and wild boar are regular visitors. Each room has a different layout, style and decor, and most feature slanted, wooden beamed ceilings, 'cotto' floors and bathrooms decorated with marble and mosaics.
A major monument to 12th Century architecture, Castello del Nero is under the protection of the Italian Fine Arts Commission and at night it looks even more beautiful against a backlit row of 150-year old Cyprus trees.
The hotel’s top notch La Torre restaurant serves authentic gourmet Tuscan food and the finest of the region's fine wines in a magnificent, panoramic setting.
