Parrot Cay
Parrot Cay is the pre-eminent private island in this previously forgotten corner of the Caribbean.
From the airport at Providenciales it is an easy speedboat transfer across to the island, which consists of a thousand unspoilt acres, surrounded by warm blue seas and graced by a mile-long beach of powdered coral sand.
Accommodation at Parrot Cay is in beach villas or hotel-style rooms set a few minutes’ walk from the shore. In all cases, the design is chic and stylish, with whitewashed walls and four-poster beds.
Guests can find their own stretch of beach or relax by the resort’s main swimming pool. For those that can rouse themselves to greater exertion, there is a fully equipped gym, two floodlit tennis courts, a watersports centre and walking trails around the island.
The Turks & Caicos Islands have some exceptional diving sites, and a team of experienced dive masters on the island of Providenciales can provide instruction and help guests explore the reefs. The excellent spa offers a range of treatments for the rejuvenation of body and mind, as well as yoga. Island hopping visits to the nearby Iguana & Sand Dollar Islands are also possible.
The hotel provides a superb dining experience, with everything from casual poolside dining to gastronomic Franco-Asian cuisine to choose from.
