The Island Of Beaches
Antigua
Antigua boasts a different stretch of sand for every day of the year.
That said, many of the cruise ships that meander around the Caribbean linger in Antigua, so many of those 365 beaches are busy, and a bit of Original Travel insider knowledge of where to hang out goes a long way.
For instance we can arrange for you to charter a boat to explore the hidden nooks and crannies of the island and its smaller satellite islets.
Another idea is to take a helicopter trip across to the volcanic island of Montserrat where you can fly over the smoking volcano and remains of the town that was devastated by the eruption of 1995. If relaxation is paramount then one can just while away the hours on the beach or indulge in the spa at whichever one of the excellent hotels you are staying in.
For a fun bit of cultural immersion, head to Shirley Heights of a Sunday evening and the mother of all parties where locals and tourists alike enjoy the great sunset views, barbecues and probably a bit too much rum.
