Favourite places

I struggled to leave Sydney when I was 18, and could not be happier in the Middle East or the Dolomites. Most content on a boat, some of my best holidays recently have been sailing from Caribbean island to island. I love Wales too, and will live in France one day.

Travel things I want to do before I die

I want to sail the Atlantic, to push into Central Asia, to take the trans Siberian express, to dive Komodo, to campervan around New Zealand, to explore all the Canaries, to visit the Maldives, and Madagascar, to dig deep into India and to head to Tibet.

Best moments

A frantic and very business like 5 days in a Fiat Tipo driving endlessly through Morocco with my wife Hayley was somehow incredible. Getting to the bottom of Grand Teton in pitch black having no rope or climbing equipment left, or torches.

Worst moments

The five hours getting down the Tetons in pitch black, with little rope.

Strangest trip

I spent a couple of nights sleeping under a urine drenched bench on a laybyjust outside Townsville, Australia, in fear of my life as Drunken Aboriginals screamed outside. I also went on a French exchange to a nudist colony, aged 13.
