Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, Tanzania
Found in the Serengeti in northern Tanzania, Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is (not surprisingly) in the Ngorongoro Crater. Nearly a jaw-dropping three million years old, Ngorongoro is the largest ancient volcanic caldera in the world, and home to elephant, buffalo, giraffe, black-maned lion, black rhino and flamingos at the lake at the crater's centre. Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is made up of suites containing a bedroom, bathroom, lounge, and private deck with spectacular views over the crater floor below.
Kaya Mawa, Likoma Island, Lake Malawi
The Kaya Mawa Lodge is a totally hand-crafted set of ten stone cottages on Likoma Island in the far north of Lake Malawi. Each cottage faces the lake and has a king-sized four-poster bed, and - most importantly - a sunken stone bathtub with a view. At the head of a bay, and surrounded by mango trees, the cottages each have private terraces with direct access to the water.

The Honeymoon House at Tongabezi Lodge, situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, is just 12 miles upstream from Victoria Falls. Here, as well as game drives and bird watching, there's also a wealth of activities revolving around the river.
Whilst all of the rooms have beautiful views, it's the Honeymoon House that has the most superb private panoramas over the Zambezi River. The open sided building, right on the banks of the river, has a role-top bath outdoors that enjoys the spectacular views.
Sindabezi, Zambia
Sister property to Tongabezi, Sindabezi Island is a private hideaway a few miles downstream. Here, rather than a bath with a view, it's a loo with a view!
