DESTINATION OVERVIEW
Tanzania is a country of great diversity with a wealth of attractions for visitors. It contains many famous national parks and reserves, such as the Serengeti, the extraordinary Ngorongoro Crater, and the Selous – the largest game reserve in Africa. In the north, close to the Kenyan border, is Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, while in the west are the dense forests of the Mahale Mountains and beautiful Lake Tanganyika. On top of this, Tanzania has miles of pristine Indian Ocean coastline and idyllic islands such as those of the Zanzibar archipelago, home to ancient Islamic ruins and white sandy beaches.
